Why Join the Oakton PTSA?

The Oakton HS PTSA is a local unit of National PTA, the oldest and largest child advocacy association in America.  Today’s National PTA is comprised of 5 million parents, teachers, grandparents, caregivers, foster parents and other caring adults who share a commitment to improving the education, health, and safety of all children.

We speak with One Voice for Every Child.  When PTSA gets involved, children benefit.  When YOU get involved with PTSA, the child who benefits the most is YOURS.

  • Out of your membership donation, $3.75/per person in dues is divided between local, State and National PTA.
  • Any amount over these dues stays within our school to fund teacher and student led club mini grants, scholarships, speakers, appreciation and social events.
  • All donations are tax deductible!

Your membership allows you much more than a vote at our general session meetings and PTA member discount.

  • By volunteering, you gain valuable experiences while putting your skills and interests to use for a good cause.
  • By getting involved, you show your student the importance of giving back to their community while helping to make positive change.
  • PTSA events provide opportunities to socialize with other parents and make new personal and professional connections.
  • PTSA meetings are a forum for exchanging ideas, make suggestions and provide your input for the Oakton HS community.

Joining the PTSA does not obligate you to volunteer at school or attend PTSA meetings...but we hope you will!

Thank you for your support!
